Don't be afraid if you find yourself alone. When else can you block out the bustling noise of the world and discover something new about yourself? Try this: embrace any span of isolation as an opportunity for education. Perhaps, with luck, you can bring something back to the world that's actually worth hearing.
It's our ability to share that makes all this art worth doing. I've loved experiencing the camaraderie present between the participants of the NPR Music Tiny Contest over the past two years, so I figured what better way to start off the new year than to debut the first song from my new project as a part of the proceedings.
Please enjoy "Sin Respaldo" and the rest of the Tiny Desk performers.
